This system has been running flawlesly for about 5 years. Linksys WRT 54 G V 1.1 with ChilliSpot. It is mounted in the peak, inside, of a repair shop near the center of the campground. There's a 12DB gain omni just outside using the very short 8" antenna lead to the right terminal of the router, now an access point. The Linksys is set to 70 MW output and uses only the right antenna terminal.
There are trees, many RV's and distance involved with this installation but there have been 0 complaints about service. Distance both ways from the AP is 150+ Yards, give or take.
The internet connection is throught Wild Blue satellite and has problems with weather occasionally.
The campground uses it's own splash page and the voucher system. They buy time vouchers and sell them at a good proffit. All time packages are limited (up and download), relative to the time purhased. All purchasers are told about their limit and they all tend to self regulate the use of the system so they won't run out of bytes.
The HotSpot System has been flawless. They are great to work with if you have questions or concers.
