I get a 169.254 IP when I try and connect to my hotspot. I have a DIR-600.

First, check if the router has internet connection (time on the upper right corner must show the current time in GMT).

Then you can try setting a Local DNS to your ISP's DNS or 8.8.8.8 under Setup > Basic Setup > Network Setup.

That seemed to have fixed the 169.254 IP, but now it gives me a 192.168.1.* IP, with a 192.168.1.1 gateway.

Be sure to restart the router and wait a few minutes before connecting to the wifi. The router gives an IP from the normal DHCP pool until chillispot starts. Then you should get an IP from the 192.168.182.xxx hotspot pool.

Also, be sure that there is no other devices which is using the 192.168.1.xxx network.
