We introduced Hotspot FREE SPLASH service (now it is called Hotspot FREE BASIC) in July, 2010. The service quickly became very popular, as of today there are over 10.000 hotspots which are using our free service.

We would like to provide the same professional service as before, but due to the high demand we cannot do this without making some changes.

The good news is that we will still provide the service for free - with some restrictions.

From 1st of April, 2012, the basic features (your own multi-language splash page with your own logos, bandwidth limitations for users, etc ) remains free, while some others (like data capture, HTML editing ability, session reports, etc) will become premium features. We also introduce Fair Usage Policy so we can keep up to date with the big demand.

We will provide dedicated support via tickets or phone for those who upgrades their location(s) to BASIC PLUS. Furthermore there will be a new feature from 1st of April which allows you to blacklist MAC addresses to prevent abuse of your hotspot(s) (BASIC PLUS only). So if you are using the premium plan, you will get an upgraded service.


The new premium service is called Hotspot FREE BASIC PLUS and it is available for $4.90 per month per location. You can upgrade your locations today by logging in to the Control Center, go to Manage > Locations > click on name > follow the link in the 'Status' line.



WHAT WILL CHANGE ON 1st OF APRIL, 2012?

- If you are using Hotspot PRO or Hotspot FREE Vouchers/SMS/SOCIAL, there will be no changes for you.
- If you are using Hotspot FREE BASIC (formerly know as SPLASH), and you are not using any of premium features, there will be no change for you.
- If you are using Hotspot FREE BASIC's with premium features, then your location will still work, however premium settings won't be applied. If you want to continue with premium features enabled, you need to upgrade.
