Sorry but I can get my head round this so I thought I would ask the question
I currently have a Cisco ADSL router for my firm ( training facility)  witch has two lans set up on it on two of its lan ports
172.16.1.1/24  lan for internal computers (staff)
10.0.0.1/24 for Public internet computers ( Pupils)
Both route out using the same ADSL connection on the router and are fire walled off from each other for security.
I would like to add a D-link Router I have which has the standard DDWRT image on it. I have set up the router as an AP and disabled the WAN port on it. Put a link cable form the 10.0.0.0 network (Cisco) in to a lan port and setup wireless (DHCP from the Cisco Router), This works ok. users connect to wireless get a 10.0.0.0 address and can browse ok.
When I enable the hotspot function the clients get a 192.168.182 address and can no longer browse. the computer says it is local only.
If I change the IP settings in the Hotspot config page of DDWRT to 10.0.0.1/24 they get a 10 address but still cant browse.
any idea why this is or have I gone about this all wrong.
Thanks
Rob

I have just tried this router as a router on my home cable provider and I get the same as above
It gives me a 192,168.182 address and no internet (local only) as soon as I enable it in DDWRT

What is the DD-wrt build that you are using? Newer DDWRT versions don't seem to work due to a glitch of some kind. I recommend using build 14311.  Sicne you get teh 192.168.182.X ip address, the problem is either a DNS server, or maybe a domain missing from the uam allowed domains.  check if you are able to ping our server at 195.228.254.149.

When you change the hotspot subnet on the router (the 192.168.182.0 one) you have to change this setting in the control center under the location's page -

Modify Hotspot Data & Settings
