I just hooked up my router hotspot in a BOX and there is significant decreases in speed tests in comparison to another router I am using as a control. I am getting faster upload speeds than my downloads. .5mb vs 12mb download speeds on other hotspot in a box vs. control. Are the pre-configured routers set with a throttle or is there a setting I may adjust to bring high speed service to the router provided?

Currently your access package is set to 10000/2000 so you should get more bandwidth then .5mbps. The routers are not set with a badnwidth cap. You can adjust the bandwidth by changing the free package. Click manage-locations-name of location-Modify free Package - and select a different package there. If no desirable packages are listed you can set a new one up by clicking customize-packages, and create a new package there.

Bear with me I am new to this package and am trying out the free package.
Having read the reply it infers that I could get a faster download speed as you have said the download speed is lower than the uplink speed no matter what settings you apply.
However in further searching the forum it implies that there is a bandwidth limit for free users.
Which is the case?

The bandwidth limit is set by you. Usually the download badnwidth is faster then the upload bandwidth. You can change the free package under package management. See the video tutorial titled "Setup Hotspot Access Packages" http://hotspotsystem..._tutorials.html
If you are not achieving the bandwidth as set in the free package then there is adifferent problem. For example the bandwidth is being used up by many simultaneous users.
