I checked the list of supported routers and apparently I didn't see any E-series router from linksys. Maybe the list isn't updated or it's not supported at all?
Is The Linksys E2500 Supported?

Hello,
basically we support all routers where dd-wrt with hotspot (chillispot) can be installed. We had negative reports of the E series, many routers were bricked when operators tried to update the mini firmware to a mini hotspot or a generic version which has the hotspot built in. Therefore we removed the E series from the supported list.
You can try to do it but we know that its a hassle and there is no guarantee that it will work.

Thanks for the advice. Luckily I didn't brick my router. I was able to successfully flash the dd-wrt software. It was a tedious process.
