I have a big old house and rent rooms out to International Students. I was sick and tired of them using all of my download quota. (Yes we still have quotas in Australia L ).

I researched many different options to limit their access. Most required multiple degrees in IT to understand the setup, let alone keeping the system up and running.

Finally I found Hotspotsystem.com. It was simple to use and setup and seems to require virtually no input from me to keep it running.

I set up a Ubiquiti Nanostaion2 and flashed it with the custom firmware from Hotspotsystem (XS2.ar2316.v3.5.SDK.110104.1923). I get a good coverage throughout the house. My private home network is kept separate from my visitors, so no snooping eyes on my private data.

I couldn’t be happier with Hotspotsystem.com. I’m so impressed at how  easy and robust the setup is  I am going to install one in my shop and sell a few vouchers!

Attached is a pic of my trusty Nanostation2, as I said nothing flash.... Maybe I'll mount it up the wall some day.
