• Using Hotspot Vouchers to Limit Accesses.

  If a simple redirect is not enough, you can limit the accesses further by distributing Vouchers (in case of Hotspot FREE with Vouchers). This way you can prevent your neighbours from using your system unauthorized, thus making it much slower.
  
  When you subscribe to a Hotspot FREE service, we generate Voucher codes automatically. You can easily print Vouchers via the Internet using our tool which creates high quality PDF files in the Control Center. You can also export the codes in csv format and import them into the system of a hotel or cafe so you can print the codes onto the receipt.

• Tie-Up Sale.

  You can tie the access codes to consumption, give menus, orders etc. The codes are unique, and they are valid only for a given period of time e.g. 1 hour. This way you can avoid having people ordering one coffee and then using your network all day long.
  
  Also, by showing users your own personalized Start Page, you can invite people to your place. The Wi-Fi signal is broadcasted outside of the location too.

PERSONALIZED START PAGE

• Advertise Your Place with Your Own Wi-Fi Start Page.

  When people connect to your Wi-Fi signal, they are redirected automatically to your Hotspot Start Page (called Splash Page). Your Hotspot comes with built-in Splash Page designs, we called it 'Skins'. You can choose from one of the built-in Skin options or you can create your own. You can customize all Skins further to include your logo, images, daily menus, etc. You can even put your own banners to advertise your own or others' services. You can also choose to redirect users to your own page hosted on your server (Hotspot FREE only).

FEATURES

• Control Center

  You can control and manage your Hotspot location remotely from a centralized web interface. You can see Vouchers that have been activated, watch online users, login sessions with usage statistics, etc.

• Multi-Location Support

  You can list all of your Hotspot locations, and all routers which were installed. You can add unlimited number of locations to your account (even the combination of Pay-Per-Use and Free locations). Each router sends a life signal to our server hourly, so you can see which one is working correctly. You can also list users who are logged in to your Hotspot.



• User Search, Usage Information.

  You can find out how many times a user logged in, how much time did he/she spend online, how much traffic did he/she downloaded and uploaded. You can also see the MAC address(es) of his/her computers.

• Router Alert

  All routers send life signals to our servers hourly so we'll know whether your Hotspot is down or working correctly. We'll send you an alert email if we see something is wrong.

• Secondary Operators

  You can give limited permissions to the Staff so they can see information for a location which you grant access to. They can see the status of the routers, or check if a Voucher code has been used.

• Multi-language Start Pages.

  Your Hotspot Start pages are available in multiple languages, including german, spanish, french, portuguese, italian and hungarian. We'll add more languages in the future, and you can also translate the pages easily to your own language.
  

• Compliance with EU Anti-Terrorism Laws.

  Directive 2006/24/EC requires any service providers to store and keep logs about their users who use internet services. Our system is fully compliant with this directive by forcing users to register before they can use the hotspot (optional feature with Hotspot FREE). Read more about this in our Knowledgebase.

HOW TO SETUP?

Only a few things are required to setup your Own Hotspot. You don't need to operate web servers or computers at the location, as the software is running on the router.

What do you need to Setup Your Own Free Wi-Fi Hotspot?

• A broadband internet connection.

  The system is compatible with all kind of internet connections, like ADSL, cable or mobile 3G connection.

• A compatible router.

  You can choose from a variety of compatible routers, including LinkSys WRT54GL or Ubiquity devices. The minute you connect your router to an existing internet connection, your Hotspot is ready to use! You do not need any computer or staff for operation.
